EventTracker — Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PodComet LLC, a Wyoming, USA limited liability company (“PodComet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the EventTracker website at podcomet.ai, its subdomains, applications, APIs, and related services (together, the “Service”). It forms part of, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
PodComet is the controller of the personal information described here. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Service. The Service is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old.
1. The short version
EventTracker is an independent, display-only aggregator: we show public prediction-market data; we take no wagers and hold no funds. You can browse the free tier without an account. If you register (as a free user or an ET& subscriber) we collect the account details you give us plus a small amount of technical data. We do not sell your personal information. When you register an account we enroll you in our newsletter, and you can unsubscribe from it at any time in one click. You can ask us to access or delete your data at any time at info@podcomet.ai.
2. Information we collect
2.1. Information you give us.
• Account & registration. Whether you create a free registered account or an ET& subscriber account, we collect your email address and a username. If you set a password, we store only a one-way cryptographic hash of it (argon2) — never the password itself; if you sign in with a magic link, we store no password at all.
• Newsletter preference. Whether you receive our newsletter. Registered accounts are enrolled at sign-up (this is disclosed on the registration form); you can unsubscribe at any time — one click in any issue, or the toggle in your account — and we keep a suppression record so an unsubscribed address is never re-enrolled.
• Connected portfolios (ET& only). If you choose to use portfolio monitoring, we store the public wallet addresses you connect so we can display read-only, public on-chain activity for them. We never ask for, and never store, your private keys, seed phrases, or exchange login credentials, and we never initiate or sign any transaction. You can disconnect a wallet at any time, which removes it from your account.
• Optional integrations. If you link our Telegram alert bot, we store the Telegram identifier needed to send you alerts. If you contact us, we keep your message and contact details.
2.2. Information collected automatically.
• Approximate location (country). We derive a two-letter country code from your IP address through our content delivery network (Cloudflare). We use this coarse, country-level signal only — we do not collect precise or GPS location, and we do not ask your browser for it.
• Device & usage data. Your IP address (processed transiently), browser type/user-agent, the pages and features you view, timestamps, and referring page.
• Visit measurement. To count unique and returning visits we use a random identifier stored in your browser’s local storage; on our servers we keep only a salted hash of it, not the raw value. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across other sites.
2.3. Payment information. Card payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe; we receive confirmation of your subscription and limited billing metadata, but we do not receive or store your full card number. For cryptocurrency payments (USDT on the Tron network) we record the on-chain payment reference needed to match your payment to your account.
2.4. Cookies & local storage. We use only essential cookies and local-storage items — to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference, remember that you dismissed a prompt, and hold the visit-measurement identifier above. We do not use advertising or cross-site-tracking cookies.
3. How we use your information — and our legal bases
We use the information above to:
• Provide the Service and your account, including authentication, the free and ET& tiers, subscription management, portfolio monitoring you request, and support — legal basis: performance of a contract with you.
• Send you service messages about your account, security, sign-in links, receipts, and important changes — necessary to provide the Service; you cannot opt out of these while you hold an account.
• Send you our newsletter — sent to registered accounts as disclosed at sign-up; legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping account holders informed about the Service, balanced by a one-click opt-out you may exercise at any time (and consent, where your jurisdiction requires it).
• Understand our audience and apply the right regional rules using coarse country data (for example, to present the correct consent options) — legal basis: legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligation.
• Keep the Service secure and enforce our Terms — detecting fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access — legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Measure and improve the Service using aggregate analytics — legal basis: legitimate interests.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. The newsletter and your marketing choices
4.1. When you register an account (free or ET&) we enroll you in the newsletter, and we say so on the registration form. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe; you can also turn it off from your account at any time. If you unsubscribe, we keep a suppression record so you are never re-enrolled — including by any later account change.
4.2. Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link (and supports one-click list-unsubscribe in your email app). When you unsubscribe we record that choice on a suppression list so that your opt-out is permanently honored and you are not re-added by any later import.
4.3. Unsubscribing from the newsletter does not stop essential service messages tied to your account.
5. How we share information
5.1. Service providers (processors). We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run the Service:
• Stripe — payment processing; • Resend — sending transactional and newsletter email; • Cloudflare — content delivery, security, coarse-country resolution, and cookieless analytics; • Hugging Face — application hosting; • Telegram — delivering alerts, only if you link the bot.
5.2. Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or where we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public, or to investigate fraud or abuse.
5.3. Business transfers. If PodComet is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
5.4. No sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used under U.S. state privacy laws.
6. International data transfers
PodComet is based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. If you access the Service from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your home country. Where required, transfers from the EEA/UK rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated in our processors’ data-processing agreements.
7. How long we keep information
7.1. We keep your account information for as long as your account is open and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, security, and record-keeping needs, then delete or anonymize it.
7.2. We keep unsubscribe/suppression records for as long as needed to honor your opt-out.
7.3. We keep billing records for the period required by tax and accounting law.
7.4. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be kept indefinitely.
8. How we protect information
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), one-way password hashing (argon2), access controls, and non-public application hosting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
9. Your privacy rights
9.1. Everyone. You can access and update your account details, delete your account, disconnect any wallet, and opt out of the newsletter at any time.
9.2. EEA / United Kingdom (GDPR / UK GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data; to object to processing based on legitimate interests; to withdraw consent (for example, to the newsletter) at any time without affecting prior processing; and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
9.3. California and other U.S. states. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access and deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” (we do neither). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9.4. How to exercise your rights. Email info@podcomet.ai from the address associated with your account. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting.
10. Children
The Service is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact info@podcomet.ai and we will delete it.
11. Third-party venues and links
The Service displays information about, and links to, third-party venues, marketplaces, and websites we do not control. Their collection and use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on the Service and change the “Last updated” date; material changes take effect on posting or on a later stated date. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
